About Coyote Studios

yote

“Coyote” is me, Todd Cooper. I’ve been an artist most of my life (I’m 60) and have worked as an illustrator, cartoonist, graphic designer, art teacher, leather crafter, newspaper art editor, sign painter, gallery director and auctioneer. It’s what we used to call “commercial art”. Around the turn of the century, my primary artistic focus became oil paint, but from a practical standpoint, I make very little distinction between commercial and fine art. It’s all about creating an image.

The idea behind this site is to bring together many different avenues for the advancement of art, artists, and especially, art education. There’s a lot of information out there, and one can spend years sifting through it all. I have, and will continue to do so. You’re welcome to join me.

Over the past couple of years, I've been developing a number of unique, innovative products for artists.
The first of these available to the public is the X10 Easel Standoffs, a simple, cheap solution to a problem that artists have learned to live with since the invention of the easel. Watch for even more exciting tools for artists in the coming months.

I welcome your comments and suggestions.
